Wedding Countdown Checklist – 2 Months To Go!
Wow, time flies when you’re getting married! Hope your planning is going well! Use these handy lists to make sure you’ve got your bases covered.
Mail your wedding invitations! (How exciting!)
Confirm that your bridesmaids have received their dresses and remind them to schedule any necessary alterations well in advance (seamstresses tend to get very busy during wedding season).
Your groom should go for his tuxedo fitting and pay any necessary deposits. Don’t forget to ask about discounts!
Let the groomsmen know how to reserve and get fitted for their own tuxedos. If your groomsmen don’t live in one place, make this easy by choosing a shop that has locations all over the country. Be sure to tell them the “order-by” deadline.
Schedule your dress fittings. Some bridal salons prefer to do your first fitting early while others would rather wait until a little closer to the big day.
Get your wedding bands engraved, if you wish.
Go shopping for anything non-perishable that your vendors are not providing, such as alcohol, soda and other mixers, etc.
If there’s something special you want to do on your honeymoon (a Broadway play in NYC, the top-rated luau in Maui, Cirque du Soleil in Vegas, breakfast with Mickey at Disneyland), make your reservations now. Special events tend to be very popular and tickets are often sold out way in advance.
Planning on whitening your teeth? Now is the time to start!
Continue to work on your wedding registries. It’s basically impossible to ask for too many things! Your guests are probably not shopping for your wedding yet (for the most part), but when they do, they’ll appreciate having a lot of options.
Update your wedding website.Change over your pics, add your wedding registry information if you haven’t already, and include a note to say the invites are in the mail.
