Only four months till your wedding! It’s getting very close now! Use these handy lists to make sure you’ve got your bases covered.

Purchase your wedding bands. (Check out our must-read article on how to save moolah on your wedding rings.)

Choose shoes and accessories for your bridesmaids, if you’re planning on it, so that the girls have lots of time to do their shopping. Get inspired at Dessy – they have everything you need for your bridesmaids, from dress to shoes and more.

Select your wedding cake style and flavor(s). Check out our wedding cake photo gallery for inspiration. (Coming soon!) Print pics you love to show your baker. Tip: to get the colors exactly right, pick up some paint swatches from your local paint store to give to your baker.

If you need to rent or buy any additional decor, do it ASAP.

Talk to the special people in your life who you’d like to have special parts in the ceremony, such as singers, readers, musicians, candle-lighters, the person who’s walking you down the aisle, etc.

Make your honeymoon reservations and send any deposits necessary to confirm your plans. If possible, consider paying the full amount in advance so you don’t have to think about money while on your honeymoon. Print any confirmations to pack in your honeymoon luggage.

Book the hotel for your wedding night. Print out the confirmation to pack in your wedding night bag. Get fab deals from Hotels.com or Expedia.

Narrow down your choices of wedding favors. Get awesome ideas for the latest favor trends at The Knot.

Add items from any website on the internet onto one universal gift registry

If you wish, order personalized wedding postage (click here to start personalizing!). Otherwise simply visit your post office to pick up stamps for your wedding invitations. If you’re a Costco member, you can get a small discount there for buying your stamps in bulk. Ensure you have the right stamps for out-of-country guests.

Start looking into wedding weekend transportation to get you to and from the ceremony and reception. Don’t forget about any single attendants who may catch the limo to the reception and then not have a way home. Also, consider renting a shuttle bus and driver for your out-of-town guests to avoid them having to call cabs after the party.

Update your wedding website. Change over your pics and update any information that may pertain to your wedding guests.
