Only seven months till your wedding; how exciting! Hope your planning is going well! Use these handy lists to make sure you’ve got your bases covered.

If you haven’t yet, order your wedding gown. If you wait much longer you may be pressed for time closer to the wedding, and that’s a headache you don’t need.

Order your bridesmaids’ dresses.

Narrow down your florist options and choose your florist. Feel free to conduct interviews if need be.

Start looking into your options for flower choices. Remember to look into what will be in season seven months from now. Check out our bridal bouquet gallery (coming soon!) for inspiration.

Begin compiling your wedding guest address list. Make sure you get correct mailing addresses (has anyone moved recently or will they be moving soon?). Also check into details like whether women are using their married or maiden names, the names of spouses and/or plus-ones you may not know yet, names of any children, etc.

If you haven’t yet, ask any special children in your lives to be ring bearers and/or flower girls. Remember to ask their moms and dads first, though!

Put the finishing touches on your reception menu. Confirm the details with your caterer, check when they need the final headcount by, and mark the date on your to-do list.

Check into the wedding cake bakers in your area. Check out their portfolios and prices to start narrowing down your options. (You don’t need to know exactly what style of cake you want yet, don’t worry.)

Start researching your honeymoon options. Have a chat with your FI about what you’d like to do, where you want to go, and what you can afford. (FYI: This is traditionally the groom’s job, but planning a vacation together will probably be more productive – not to mention fun!)

Update your wedding website.Change over your pics, include info about your child attendants (major cuteness factor!), and mention to guests that you’re finalizing the reception menu and any dietary requirements they have should be passed along to you ASAP.
