Wedding To-Do ChecklistOnly six months till your wedding! Hope your planning is going well! Use these handy lists to make sure you’ve got your bases covered.

Think about who you want your ushers to be, then ask them. Note: some brides and grooms opt to use their groomsmen as ushers. Others use the position as a way to honor special people who aren’t in the wedding party.

Start looking at wedding hairstyles. Save pics you love for your stylist to check out later. Find out what hairstyles will look good on you by “trying them on” virtually with this super awesome tool: Go ahead and play with the interactive demo from TheHairStyler.com!

Ask your bridesmaids and other important ladies (e.g. your mom, sister, etc.) if they’d like their hair and makeup professionally done by your stylists or if they’d prefer to do one or both themselves. Get those numbers to your hair stylist and makeup artist so they’ll know how early they need to meet you and whether they’ll need extra hands.

Start checking out centerpiece ideas if you haven’t already. Save pics for your florist and/or wedding planner. (Centerpiece photo gallery coming soon!)

Choose a wedding cake baker and send in the deposit to reserve their services. You don’t need to have a final cake design choice just yet.

Receive (or finish making) your wedding invitations. Give them a once-over to make sure everything is as requested. If not, you still have time to change things. If you haven’t ordered your invites yet, check out these indie designers at Minted.

Add items from any website on the internet onto one universal gift registry

Narrow down your wish list for honeymoon destinations and look into getting a travel agent to take the stress of honeymoon planning off your shoulders. Read this BEFORE you choose your travel agent!

Start planning your rehearsal dinner. If there’s a special location you want, make inquiries now to ensure you get it. Check out our alterna-rehearsal dinner ideas.

Continue working on your wedding registries. If you haven’t started one yet, try MyRegistry.com. You can have as many stores as you want – all in one registry.

Update your wedding website. Change over your pics, include info about your honeymoon destination, and rehearsal dinner. Be sure to also have links to your wedding registries. (Still need a wedsite? Get a free one that matches your stationery at Wedding Paper Divas.)
